Town of Middlesex
Yates County, NY
The Town of Middlesex is soliciting proposals
from engineering firms, licensed in the State of New York, to provide services
on an as needed basis, reimbursed on an hourly basis from a rate schedule.
Examples of services to be provided are: participation in scope review
meetings, site plan review, geo-technical analysis for steep slope
development, structural analysis for civil and architectural projects, survey
control to support public works projects, on-site inspection services during
construction, estimating, and CAD technician work. Rate schedules for selected
firm(s) shall be updated on an annual basis. A work release process shall be
developed and utilized. Services will be provided to support the various Town
Boards and Highway Department for select projects. If interested, submit a
letter of introduction, qualifications and rate schedule for any/all licensed
disciplines available that would pertain to this request. Submission receipt
deadline is 1/30/09. Submissions and any questions shall be

NOTICE OF
MEETING CHANGE – PLANNING BOARD
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a
change in meeting date for the Planning Board of the Town of Middlesex is in
effect for the month of January. The Planning Board shall meet on Thursday,
January 8, 2009, 7pm instead of January 1st due to the New Years
holiday. This meeting will be at Town Hall, 1216 Route #245 – Main St.,
Middlesex, NY. We shall resume our regular meeting schedule in February.

Middlesex is a town in Yates County, New York, USA.
The population was 1,345 at the 2000 census. The name comes from a location in
England.
The Town of Middlesex is on the
northwest corner of the county and is south of Canandaigua, NY.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a
total area of 88.2 km² (34.1 mi²). 79.9 km² (30.9 mi²) of it is land and 8.3 km²
(3.2 mi²) of it (9.42%) is water.
The western side of the town is defined by Canandaigua Lake,
and both the west and the north town lines are the border of Ontario County.
Demographics
As of the census of
2000, there were 1,345 people, 521 households, and 376 families residing in the
town.
There were 521 households out of which 33.0% had children
under the age of 18 living with them, 59.7% were married couples living
together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% were
non-families. 22.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.6% had
someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household
size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.91.
The median income for a household in the town was $43,618, and
the median income for a family was $47,763. Males had a median income of $34,464
versus $23,676 for females. The per capita income for the town was $21,241.
About 3.4% of families and 6.6% of the population were below the poverty line,
including 7.3% of those under age 18 and 9.4% of those age 65 or over.
